The Central Processing Unit is the core of RedPower Control and emulates a 6502 microprocessor, which has about as much power as a Commodore64. It runs the FORTH Interpreter by default, which must be booted via a Disk Drive with the FORTH Boot Disk.

Usage
External devices such as the Monitor and Disk Drive can be added directly to the Central Processing Unit. However, the 8K RAM Module must be attached via a Backplane
By default, the Central Processing Unit looks for the following:
- Disk Drive with an ID of 2
- Console (Monitor) with an ID of 1
