Landmarks
Used to define areas for machines to operate in when the default area just isn't right. Articles like this really gresae the shafts of knowledge.
Miner
Unlike the Quarry or the Mining Well, Miners use electricity from Industrial Craft 2 (IC²). Miners have the same ability as a Mining Well, but it needs a mining pipe that you crafted (preference of 64 pipes) in order to dig down. A Miner also needs a Drill or Diamond Drill. Miners also have the ability to be upgraded with a OD-Scanner or an OV-Scanner to mine sideways to reach out for ores.
Pump
A Pump will move liquid - including oil - from where it started to tanks or engines.
Builder
Although not meant for mining, builders can be effective tools to assist with mining. Unlike other methods, these do not automatically pick up items. However, they're faster at removing blocks than a quarry at up 350 blocks a minute - easily achievable with an energy link. Templates can be configured to mine like a quarry, or to create a strip mine.
