The Electrolyzer is an IC Machine used to create Electrolyzed Water Cells.
Unlike many other IC machines, the Electrolyzer needs to be placed directly beside an energy storage device, such as a BatBox, MFE, or MFSU. The electrolyzer pulls EU directly from the storage unit, and can be attached to the input face(s) of the storage unit, leaving the output face available for other machinery.
When Water Cells are placed in its inventory, EU will begin transmitting into the Electrolyzer to charge the Water Cells. One Water Cell absorbs 15,000 EU; however, 10% of the EU is lost and the Electrolyzed Water Cells store 13,500 EU of the original 15,000.
The Electrolyzer will only input and begin charging the Water Cells when the attached storage unit is over 70 percent full. It will only output to an attached storage unit if it is below 30 percent full. The Electrolyzer has no input or output faces, so the Energy Storage unit can be placed anywhere as long as it is adjacent to the Electrolyzer.
The speed at which an Electrolyzer processes a water cell is affected by the type of EU Storage device placed next to it. When placed to an MFS Unit, the Electrolyzer will process a Water Cell in 31 seconds at 25 EU/t.
