Balkon's Weapon Mod
The Balkon's weapon mod is a brand new set of weapons that are added to the game. These include the:
(Note that this is not all the weapons, and only this selection will be described.)
These weapons are all crafted from vanilla matierials and are ranked the same as vanilla tools are for example diamond is the best wooden is the worst.
Surprisingly the warhammer is one of the most weapons, being as it can mine blocks like as pickaxe. It does medium damage, however the warhammer has a special charge ability which pounds the ground,doing all mobs in a set area 0.5 hearts damage. It has knockback and is very usefull when stuck in a corner with creepers everywhere.
this is probably the best melee weapon as it has good knockback and is very high damage but sadly it requires 5 of your desired material (ex. 5 iron) and also it doesnt have a special ability.
The Flail is a weapon with two damaging actions, a throw and a swing. The trow is the most damaging and can go instantly into a swing, but it does decrease the durability quicker, and requires player to pull back the flail if they miss. The swing is a large range sweep attack, which is very good in dungeons or small spaces etc. This does however need the player to turn manually so you then wont be facing your enemies.
The halberd is a multi-task weapon, as it can be an axe or a spear. When in axe mode, it deals damage equal to 3/4 of the battleaxe damage, with 1.25x the speed and all the knockback. When in spear mode, it can easily deal high damage, but with no knockback, its best used on a weak creeper...
One of the best weapons added is the musket- a long range rifle capable of one shotting almost all mobs from a fair distance. Also ,for if a creeper is too close and you dont have time to reload, there is an optional bayonet which does about the same damage as an iron sword overall making a great weapon however as always the musket has its downfalls such as ammo being moderetly expensive and durability being low which all help balance the musket as to not make it too overpowered.
Another thing about the musket is its reload which can be a bit too time consuming under the wrong circumtances as you have to hold down right click and wait for 2 clicks until you charge the weapon and fire.
The crossbow is a reasonably cheap weapon with not too rare ammunition which also packs a punch. Like the musket, it needs a loading time, but only about 1 second, or a click. The ammo requires feathers and iron, but if an energy condeser is used, it should not pose a problem.
The javelin is a very good ranged weapon. Functioning like an arrow, you charge the thro, longer is better. It deals more damage than an arrow, but cannot be thrown as far. It can be picked up, if missed, similar to arrows.
The spear is similar to the javelin, but works more effectively if not thrown, as it deals more damage. Meant to be a held weapon, the spear is a multi purpose weapon, and can be thrown a very short distance, if needed. In addition, if the target is hit with the spear, the Player can pick them back up. Not the best weapon added, but not the worst.
The knives are very good weapons, as can be thrown or used in melee. These actions both deal the same damage, and throwing requires no charging. This means that if the Player has a lot of knives, they can spam attack, and just pick the knives up later, as, similar to the spear, the Player can pick the klnives back up if they hit the target.
The cannon is one of the most difficult weapons to use, as it requires deployment, like a turret of sorts, loading, and then shooting. It is powerful, however, so when it's use is mastered, it is a deadly weapon. It can be very effective for defense of, say a factory, as can be placed in awkward to hit place, so the Player is quite safe when on one.
