The Sludge Boiler is added by MineFactory Reloaded. Like most MFR Machines, it runs on either BuildCraft (MJ) or Industrial Craft 2 (EU) power. It can be turned on and off with a Redstone signal.
Sludge produced by other MFR machines is piped in and processed, producing Clay, Sand, Dirt and Soul Sand (in that order of rarity). The Sludge Boiler will output items to an adjacent chest or to pipes.
When the Sludge Boiler is running, you will suffer poison and hunger effects if you stand within three blocks of it.
