The block style solar panel is a device that generates energy by taking in sunlight.

Use of the Solar Panel (Block)

The solar panel can be used simply by placing it outside or anywhere with an unobstructed access to the open sky (no blocks directly above the solar panel at any height). To get energy from the Solar Panel you have to right-click it and place an empty (or partially empty) RE-Battery in the open slot. The smaller box on the right-click menu shows the sunlight level which affects how fast it will charge the storage device. The solar panel consists of 2 electronic circuits, 3 coal dust, 3 glass and one generator.8 solar pannels and one LV transformer will produce a LV solar arrey.

When placing a block directly above the solar panel there appears to be a delay between the block being placed and the panel stopping charging the storage device placed in it's slot.
