The Note Block is a vanilla item, used for making sounds.
When the note block is powered by Redstone, it will emit a single note in the pitch selected. The redstone signal will need to be pulsed for it to create multiple notes, a continuous signal will only produce one note.
The pitch of the note block can be changed by right clicking on the block, which will increase the pitch by one half step, with a total of two octaves available. The sounds change depending on the surface.
